Hello readers! In this post. I'll discuss an issue sent to us by a Galaxy S3 user complaining about it's device that can't get through in Samsung logo after the update. If the problem started to happen after installing a new system, it's not far that this is just a software-related issue wherein the firmware has been bugged or ruined during the process. On the other hand, an incompatible app can be a factor as well that the issue occur on your phone. So, to be sure what really makes the device to function abnormally, then all you need to do is to determine all possibilities until you can figure it out what the real problem is and fix it.
Step 1: Boot your phone in Safe Mode
Since,we are not sure what caused the issue the best thing that you can do first is to boot your phone in Safe mode. This will eliminate the suspicion that a third-party app is causing it and letting the pre-installed apps run in the system while the downloaded ones are temporarily disabled. So, if the device boots up successfully while in this mode, then we suggest you to uninstall each and every app you installed on your phone until you can get rid the issue. That being said, here's how to boot it in Safe mode:
- Turn the phone off completely.
- Press and hold the Power button.
- Once the Samsung S5 logo appears, release the Power button and immediately press and hold the Volume Down button.
- The phone will restart but keep the Volume Down button pressed.
- Once the phone has finished restarting, 'Safe mod' will appear in the lower-left corner of the screen.
- You may now release the Volume Down button.
Step 2: Wipe the System Cache Partition
If the files and data in the directory are corrupted or become outdated that may be the reason that the issue occur on your Galaxy S5. In this instance, all you need to do is to wiped out all those caches stored in the directory so that newer ones will be replaced and could run smoothly once it is loaded to the firmware. This method is safe and it won't ruin any of your important files. Here's how:
- Turn off your S5.
- In order to shut down your Galaxy S5 you can either press the Power button and select 'Power off' or you can press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds.
- Wait a few seconds and then proceed to the steps below.
- Press the Power, Home and Volume Up buttons at the same time.
- Keep pressing these buttons until recovery mode appears on your screen.
- In recovery mode, use volume up or volume down buttons and press the Power button to select the option.
- You can then reboot into android by selecting reboot system now.
