We will have to determine what really the problem is through performing the necessary troubleshooting methods so that we can create a solution and resolve the problem. Here's how:
Step 1: Do the Battery-pull procedure
This is a very basic method and the main purpose of doing this is to isolate that a glitch in the system is not causing the issue. Just remove the battery of the device and press the Power key for 7 seconds to release the electricity stored in the hardware components. After you do so, place it back the battery and turn it on. But if the method is not helping the issue, move over to the next method.
Step 2: Charge your phone for several minutes
In this step, we have to make sure that the battery is not empty, because if it is, that would be the reason that your phone refused to turn on. While it is connected to the charger, let it charge for at least 15-20 minutes. However, after the time elapse and your phone still unresponsive and unable to power on, then, your phone may be experiencing serious software issue. You can follow the next procedure for further troubleshooting.
Step 3: Boot your device in Recovery Mode
Assuming that the device still unresponsive after performing all those methods, then, the last option that you should do is to boot it in Recovery Mode. In this environment, we have to verify if your phone doesn't have any defective hardware components that might causing the issue. So, if all the components are fine, then, surely the device will boot in this mode. Here's how you boot in Recovery mode:
- Turn off the Galaxy Note 4 completely.
- Press and hold the following buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key and Power key.
- When the Note 4 vibrates, release both the Home and Power keys but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key.
